2005 News....

Senior Football League 2005

These two wins have sen us top section 2 of the KS, this ensures us a place in Division 1 for next season and a place in the semi-final of this years League. Two excellent wins and all credit to the players and management for the effort since the defeat to the 'Barrs in the C'ship

The annual Golf Classic 2005

Sponsored by Simple Palmera Properties held a number of weeks ago in Harbour Point was an outstanding success, the committee would like to thank the organizing cimmittee of Pat Bourke, Paul Young and Kieran O'Shea for all their hard work over the last few months. Congratulations to the winning teams, photos of winners and also of launch will be posted shortly.

KS and Munster Club League News (Feb 2005)

This competition will have a new format for 2005 and promotion and relegation will be in operation for 2006. Two groups of ten, with the top five in each forming Division 1 for 2006, the bottom five will comprise Division 2. The teams in our section are; Mallow, Doheny's, O'Donovan Rossa, Bishopstown, Youghal, Naomh Aban, St Michael's, Na Piarsaigh, Ballincollig.

The senior team will also compete in the Munster Club League, and the teams in our group are; Douglas, Eire Og (Ennis), Kilcummin (Kerry), and Cahir (Tipperary). The KS gets underway on the w/e of 26th/27th February, with the opening two rounds of the Munster League to be played on the 12th/13th and 19th/20th.

Under 21: Jim Mc Carthy, Dave Cunningham and Ken Lynam.

Junior 'A': John Mc Grath and James Galvin.

Junior 'B': Aiden O'Callgahan, Eamonn Gough and Tony O'Neill.

Garda Youth Awards

Niall Horgan, Cork minor hurling and football captain 2003, recieved a Garda Youth Award for his sporting achievements with St. Nicks, Glen Rovers and Cork.......[photos]

AGM 2004

All officers returned. Team Managers appointed with permission to pick their own selectors.

Senior: Diarmuid O'Donovan. Intermediate: Niall Byrnes. Under 21: Stephen O'Brien. Junior Selectors: James Galvin, Tony O'Neill and Aidan O'Callaghan. Senior Captain will be chosen by the team management.

Munster Senior Club League Final 2002-03

The Munster Club League final was played on Sunday the 2nd February. Naomh Aban came out on top against a brave Nicks performance. A minute silence was held at the game for the late Emmett Neville. For some photos from the game click [here]

Centenary Mass

Sciath na Scoil 2002

Well done to Scoil Oilibher on their fantastic win in the 2002 Sciath na Scoil final which was held in Pairc Ui Rinn in November 2002. Some photos of the lads who brought another cup back to Blackpool can be seen [here]

Minor County Champions 2002

The St. Nicks Minors were crowned County Champions on Sunday 12th October. Well done to all the lads and everyone involved. Pictures from the game and the presentation of the cup are [here]
